This is the savory pie I brought to the potluck. Since I was cooking for a crowd, I doubled the filling recipe and used a double-pie-crust recipe (see below) in a rectangular (11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4-inch) baking dish. ---Susan


Wheat Cutlets in Mushroom Gravy

This is one of our favorite easy suppers. I picked up the recipe at a restaurant in Victoria, B.C., and tweaked it a little. If you are new to seitan, it's made from wheat, magically transformed into tender, tasty morsels. Look for it in the cooler section. At New Seasons it comes in a blue box, made by White Wave.

Spicy Rice

This is a quick and easy supper and a favorite of my son. It is even quicker if you have rice on hand.---Eve

Mushroom Gravy

Mary discovered this gravy in the Food for Life Class. She had it over Mashed Grains and Cauliflower but it would work well anywhere.
