Hot Christmas Punch

"Recipe requested by Marilyn but also sent to Joy of Mindful Cooking as a holiday drink for all those tee-totaller Buddhists."

Ingredients: 

2 quarts apple cider
1 gallon cranberry juice
1 large pkg hot cinnamon candies
1 whole nutmeg (crushed)
1 cinnamon stick
1 TBS allspice
1 TBS cloves

Instructions: 

Combine juices in a percolator. Put spices into the percolator basket
and heat. Keep hot in thermos or hot pot.

Notes: 

"As you know I put in only 1/2 gallon cranberry juice and I didn't use
a percolator--just heated it on the stove. Using that method I would
advise tying the spices into a small bag so they're not floating in
the punch."---Margaret
