I'm back --- after most of a month spent anticipating and then celebrating the wedding of our son (who made this website.) Lots of planning, lots of friends, lots of fun, lots of plant-based meals to make! And now ---- four new plant-based recipes to share with all of you.
You may already have discovered the Peach Cream Pie on our website --- a delicious dessert Donna made for our July potluck:

Just today another of our potluck recipes popped up on the website, the wonderful Vegetable Pesto Bake created by Sally and John:

I've heard twice from Christel in Germany, who sent loving wishes for the wedding along with a creative pizza idea:
Dear Eve,
here are my pizza-variations from today:
premade bought pizza- dough, one half ( for the adult-taste ) I decorated with hummus ( as the base spread ), artichoke- hearts, sprinkles of tomato-sauce, one garlic-clove ( cut into small pieces ), one teaspoon of capers, onionslices ( microwaved for 2 minutes ), tomato-slices.
The other half ( for my daughter ) with tomato-sauce, smoked tofu, onionslices, tomato-slices.
I boke the pizza at 200^C for nearly 15 minutes.
...
Yours
Christel
I posted her pizza recipe on our website --- here it is, with her colorful photo:
Christel's Two-way Pizza
And here is Christel's easy dessert idea:
Recently I made this dessert:
cold vegan vanilla-joghurt ( sweetened ), pear juice concentrate, some walnuts.
For one person just a drinking glass full of vanilla-joghurt, on top a tsp pear juice concentrate and 2-3 walnuts.
Here in Germany I buy Provamel Vanille Joghurt ( soy joghurt ): https://www.provamel.com/at/produkte/pflanzlichen-joghurtalternativen-mi...
I have also been hearing from Susan who is running into difficulties with posting recipes on our site. Is anyone else having trouble with that? Please let me know --- your experiences can help us get to the bottom of this problem. Did you know anyone can post plant-based recipes for us? You just need to register on the website and then follow the steps for Add New Recipe. You are very welcome to add to our collection.
September is almost upon us and the Plant Pure Summit will soon begin. Is anyone else planning to do this? I signed up --- I can't possibly take in the whole thing but hope to hear the highlights. It's a free online event that looks impressive:
We are excited to announce that the PlantPure Summit now has more than 50 experts in plant-based nutrition, lifestyle and healthcare who will be featured in just two weeks (Sept 7-16). To view the complete PlantPure Summit schedule, just click http://plantpuresummit.com/schedule/
I'll end with these thoughts from Thay:
"Peace can be practiced while chopping vegetables, cooking, washing dishes, watering the vegetable garden.... Practice releasing the tension in body and mind and being completely with your task. The time when you work in the kitchen is also the time for meditation."
Happy cooking,
Eve
