Only Kale Can Save Us Now Salad


A tasty, easy new way to get your kale. The dressing features tahini, lemon, and nutritional yeast it's all topped with hemp seeds -- oh my!


30 ml 2 T. tahini
30 ml2 T. lemon juice
30 ml2 T. tamari
30 ml2 T. nutritional yeast
15 ml1 T. flax meal
10 ml2 tsp. onion granules
5 ml1 tsp. garlic granules
59 ml1/4 c. water and more as needed
79 ml1/3 c. hemp seeds or chopped sunflower seeds (optional)
pepper to taste


Put the tahini, lemon juice, tamari, nutritional yeast, flax meal, onion granules and garlic granules in a large bowl. Add the water and whisk to combine, adding more water if it seems too thick.

Add the kale leaves to the dressing and mix with your hands, rubbing the dressing into the kale and distributing it evenly. Sprinkle the seeds over the top if desired along with black pepper to taste.

Serve now or store in the refrigerator up to 2 days.
