Passionate Vegetarian, Author Crescent Dragonwagon

This friendly, warm cookbook is written by a woman who had a vegetarian restaurant back in the early 70's. It is over 1,000 pages and is filled with great recipes and heart warming stories about her life and how many of these dishes came about. I have made numerous creations from this cookbook and have not been disappointed once. From quick meals to elaborate dinners this book has it all.

When I went to the library to pick up this book, I wished I had brought a handcart. It's huge! But it's not overwhelming. The layout is very inviting and, as Kim says, friendly. I kept wondering about the author's last name (could it be real?) but there was no clue in the book. I turned to the internet and got my answer: http://www.dragonwagon.com/. She's a colorful person, just like her website! I see lots of recipes I want to try.
