Cooking, kinship and a potluck

Our Creative Christel in Germany has come up with a simple way to fix tofu. She served it alongside sushi rolls but I can imagine it in a sandwich or alongside practically anything. Christel says: I was so happy about the taste and texture that I offered it to my husband, saying that now it tastes like the tofu in Asian restaurants...

The problem with "it"

We're having an extended heat wave here in Portland, and I know we're not the only ones. It reminds me of the importance of what we're doing as we strive to change our ways and save our planet. I'll share my reflections on that in a moment, but I always like to start with a recipe and these days I'm only doing cool, refreshing salads.
